What is it like?
Do you want something more challenging?
How about the full responsibility for your own Coffee Shop and your team?
Meet Vanessa
Coffee Shop Manager in Bremen
What are the main everyday tasks?
– Things rarely turn out as planned. In addition to scheduling, placing orders or holding meetings, I also love to lend a hand behind the bar. Whether it's preparing delicious drinks or helping out the team somewhere else. From serving guests to putting away the goods, it’s all part of the job.
What made you choose Espresso House?
– I love the hospitality industry and wanted to experience something new. What particularly impressed me was the application process at EH. That value is not placed on the classic cover letter and CV, but I was allowed to convince with my individual personality only!
At Espresso House, my work has been recognized and rewarded since day one. After a very short time, I was able to take on a lot of responsibility and proudly run my first store. But also that you can talk to everyone so well and always find yourself at eye level, regardless of whether you're talking to the District Manager, the CEO or your own baristi.
When was the last time you were laughing at work – and what was it about?
– Truth is, there is not a single day that haven’t made me smile! Especially, I like to remember the day back, when I had sprinkled cream all over the bar – including my colleagues – while shaking the cream syphon... It was hilarious! But maybe a bit less for my ACSM.
Could you describe Espresso House with one word, only?
– Team spirit.
